2019 Fall Bible Studies

As a church of Jesus Christ, Christ Church Westshore exists to help build a great community for all people through a movement of the gospel that brings personal conversion, discipleship in community, meeting needs in the neighborhood, and cultural renewal / revival to the Westshore and, through it, to the world.

This fall we are offering a variety of small group studies that will meet everyone’s needs. We have a youth ministry that meets three times a month; as well as men’s, women’s, and family bible study groups that meet regularly!

If you are interested in any of these Bible Study/Groups, please send us an email at office@christchurchwestshore.com or call our office at 440.899.7151.

Saturday Morning Men’s Bible Study begins at 8:45 am every Saturday, and is studying the book of Joshua. Everyone is welcome.

Youth Ministry Fall Kick-Off! We are excited to announce that the youth ministry began meeting again on August 26th. We will be working through a study called “Not a Fan,” which focuses on being disciples of Christ and not simply spectators. We will continue to do monthly local missions outreach. If you or someone you know would like to be ministered by our monthly missions outreach, email Zach. The official schedule will be available monthly at christchurchwestshore.com under the youth ministry link.

Bayvon Lake Group – This mission-shaped community will meet bi-weekly; breaking bread together, studying God’s word together, praying together and serving together. This fall we will study “The Prayer Course” from Holy Trinity Brompton (Anglican). Our goal is to know the Lord intimately and to hear His voice. All in western Bay, Avon Lake, & Avon are welcome. Childcare is available upon request. Contact Gene Sherman with any questions.

Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study – Our 9―week session is titled “Paul’s Letters to the Churches: Romans through Thessalonians.” The workbook is $12.50 (without shipping) and it is also available at Amazon. There will be a video teaching and discussion as well as 5 short daily homework assignments. There are two choices for the daily readings; “The Complete Read” enables one to read the entire book, while “The Quick Read” allows one to read a few key chapters and verses. All CCW women and their friends are welcome regardless of whether they are new to Bible study or Bible study veterans. There is no baby-sitting available.

Fall ’19 Emotionally Healthy Spirituality focuses on loving God. You’ll learn that it is not possible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature; how knowing God and knowing ourselves cannot be separated; how those times when it feels like our faith is not working any more are actually times of our greatest growth. Lastly we’ll learn how to slow down our lives to develop our own personal relationship with Jesus. Childcare is available upon request.

Read, Mark, Learn – This fall, the group will focus on 1&2 Thessalonians and Zechariah led by Jim Crawford. The emphasis will be on Jesus after the Ascension and our future in Christ.

Business Men’s Bible Study will begin in September and meet at 7:30 am bi-weekly in Rocky River led by Art Hall.
