You have seen the images in the news! Hurricane Harvey has displaced tens of thousands of people in south Texas and Louisiana, and the rains and flooding are expected to continue throughout the week. Meteorologists are measuring the rain in feet, not inches, and in billions of gallons, and this is causing catastrophic damage in the region. Recovery from the devastation will take months, if not years.

ARDF (Anglican Relief and Development Fund) is partnering with Bishop Clark Lowenfield of the Anglican Diocese of the Western Gulf Coast. Bishop Clark, based in Houston, is coordinating relief efforts among churches in the region. Your gift to ARDF will mean that individuals in some of the most hard-hit areas will be able to put their lives back together once this is all over. If you wish to donate to ARDF, there are several ways to do so:

  • ARDF website –
  • By mail – (note Hurricane Harvey on check memo line) ARDF, P.O. Box 645354, Pittsburgh, PA 15264
  • Through Christ Church – We will also collect checks payable to Christ Church Westshore (note ARDF – Hurricane Harvey on memo line) or cash in an envelope marked ARDF – Hurricane Harvey (include your name if you wish the donation to appear on your CCW giving statement).

Please continue to pray for those who have lost family members and homes. Also pray for safety and strength for all those providing rescue assistance.
