ONLINE GIVING
Thank you for your support!
God provides for the ministry of our church through your tithes and offerings and your gifts are honored with faithful stewardship, ethical business practices, and accountability to our Vestry, the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes (ADGL) and the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). It’s more than keeping the lights on and the gears turning; it’s about personal worship to God and handing Him back what He already owns…and it’s about lives changing through the transformative power of the Gospel in our communities and beyond.
Stewardship - a way of life
In its broadest sense, stewardship means to "take care of" that which is important. It is frequently couched in terms of being a "good steward." An expansive view of stewardship involves careful consideration of concern for others and our relationships, conservation of our resources for continuing growth and use for posterity. Stewardship involves wise utilization and generosity. Living without fear - giving freely and generously - and experiencing the joy that this brings is hard-wired in us by our Maker. It is what we are to do. Stewardship is ultimately about taking care of our relationship with God.
God’s Word calls us to obediently “tithe” (give 10%) of what He gives us, to do His kingdom work. “Offerings” given to God are gifts above and beyond our tithes. Tithes and offerings are vital to the health of Our Church and provide for all the areas of ministry and outreach.
Stewardship and generosity encompass more that our financial resources. At Christ Church we know that God has endowed each of us with spiritual gifts that enable us to share our time and talents, in addition to our treasure. We can help you discover your spiritual gifts and determine how you may contribute to God's kingdom in ways that will bring joy to others, and to you.

Donations of Appreciated Property
Gifts of stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares to the church may provide you with two tax advantages: the charitable deduction and no income tax on the appreciated value. Please consult your tax advisor. Contact Gary Conaway, Financial Secretary, for specific instructions if you wish to donate appreciated assets.
Estate Gifts
Christ Church Westshore has been honored and humbled to receive estate gifts from faithful members and friends who have passed and designated a gift to the church. Please consult with your attorney or financial advisor for guidance in determining the planned gift approach that is right for you and your family.
Qualified Charitable Deduction
For many people, the increased standard deduction that was implemented in 2018 greatly impacted the tax advantage gained from charitable giving. If you are at least 70-½ years of age, you may be able to reduce your taxable income by making your charitable gifts to CCW directly from your IRA as a qualified charitable deduction (QCD). Please consult your tax advisor to see if this might be a good option for you.
