At Christ Church Westshore, we welcome all who want to start or continue their faith journey, no matter where they are on that journey. A question that is asked frequently is, "What is Faith?"
The simplest way to put it is, "Now Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." - Hebrews 11:1
People understand faith as something that they believe is real, but the reality is we believe a lot of things are real. We can believe that a parachute is real and that a parachute works, but unless we jump out of the plane trusting that the parachute will open, we don't really have faith in that parachute.
Throughout the scripture, we see that faith is what brings us out of the darkness into the light with the confidence that we know Jesus Christ is real. Having faith and living our lives based on that reality is faith.
There are many ways that we practice and share our Faith at Christ Church, from our sermons to our Little Churches to our community partnerships, and so much more.
Our Little Churches are groups of individuals who come together with common interests and experiences. As a part of one or more of these Little Churches, we come together to break bread together, live life together, and share our faith.
